I have so many thoughts on being a mom and I want to get them down so that I can try to remember them when more little ones come along.

I have come to understand more than ever that following the promptings of the Spirit will help me to be the best mom I can be. My mom sent me a book about raising strong willed children and I read most of it, I haven't read the part on adolesence because I am not there and I am sure I will not remember that in 12 years. Anyway, there were a few helpful things in the book that gave me better understanding and I am glad that I read it. Last Friday we got our Ensign and there were several articles about parenting and they were only a few pages long. I learned more from the words on those pages than I did from the whole book my mom sent me. Heavenly Father knows our little ones and he can help us to know what is best for the them if we will live righteously so we can receive the personal revelation needed. The parenting books can be helpful and are good for some moms but parenting with the Spirit will get us so much further and it really makes parenting easier.
